Depending on the position of the caulk to be removed you may require a glove for your non dominant hand to provide some friction to keep yourself stable.

If it still leaves a film residue on the surface of the tile you could try to use xylene acetone or goof off with a scrub pad.
Apply mineral spirits or denatured alcohol.
Wash down the entire tile area with a bathroom tile cleaner that penetrates the soap scum without leaving a residue.
Then hold the scraper at a shallow angle to avoid scratching the surface and remove any remaining caulk.
Use a scrub pad if possible but if the surface is easily scratched.
Removing silicone caulk residue effectively is a two or three part process.
Prepare the surface for the task by cleaning the space surrounding the silicone caulk with a cloth dampened with rubbing alcohol.
Next scrub the surface with an abrasive pad soaked in mineral spirits to get rid of any silicone residue which will prevent the new sealant from sticking.
You can also use silica sand with water and abrasively remove it with a scrub pad.
Softening the residue by prolonged exposure to mineral spirits loosens its bond with the substrate.
After this thoroughly dry the surface with a cloth.
Alternatively use hot water and a mild dish detergent.
My experience is that silicone isn t too difficult to remove.
